Marvin Hanna and Shirley Powell run the Histosearch websites. Marvin and Shirley have a combined 70 years experience in Histology. Shirley has run the Histology Lab at Mercer University School of Medicine for many years, along with many other duties. She also teaches at the Histology program at Darton College. Shirley was one of the founding members of NSH and is active in Histology Societies on both a national and state level, including past president of the Georgia Society for Histotechnology. Marvin was involved in bringing the first automated immunohistochemistry system to Histology in the mid 1980s, including introducing computers to Histology. He has worked at various positions in immunohistochemistry with companies including Fisher Scientific, Richard-Allan Scientific and Lab Vision.
